How to Book a Year-End Party Early – Timeline, Budget and Checklist
22/10/2026
Every year, many companies start looking for a year-end venue in mid-December, only to find the best Friday and Saturday nights already taken. Lunar New Year 2027 falls in early February, so this year's party season will be packed into December and January. If you've been asked to organise the party, this guide will help you prepare early and stress-free.
When to book your year-end party
Confirm your venue at least 3–4 weeks ahead, especially for Friday or Saturday nights. For larger companies or those needing a separate area, booking from late October or November is the safest option.
If your schedule is flexible, consider a weeknight. The atmosphere is more relaxed, service is faster and it's easier to get a great table.
Setting a budget
The simplest method is per person. A budget usually covers food, drinks and extras such as gifts, lucky-draw prizes and transport.
At The Wann, you can choose combos by headcount or order à la carte, making it easy to fit your budget. Tell our staff your expected budget and we'll suggest a suitable menu. Ask in advance about deposits, service charges and invoices so your accounting team can prepare the paperwork.
Choosing the date and time
The Wann opens at 6 PM every day. Dinner with soft music starts at 6 PM, and the DJ and dancers perform every night from 9 PM. If your company wants speeches and awards to feel formal, start around 6:30–7 PM and wrap up before the DJ takes the stage.
There are also themed nights such as Ladies Night, guest DJ nights and a beer drinking contest on Thursdays. Check the Events page on our website to pick a night that suits your team.
