What to Prepare When Booking a Birthday Table – 8 Things to Remember

Whether a birthday party goes well often depends on small details. Are there enough seats? Does the cake come out at the right time? Do latecomers know where to go? A little preparation helps you avoid most of the usual hiccups. Here are 8 things to remember when booking a birthday table at The Wann.

1. Confirm your headcount early

The number of guests determines the seating area, table layout and amount of food. Check with your guests and share an estimated number when booking. If it changes, let us know early so we can adjust.

2. Pick the right day and time

The Wann opens at 6 PM every day. From 6 PM it's dinner with soft music, and from 9 PM the DJ and dancers perform every night. For a relaxed dinner and candle moment, arrive around 7 PM. If dancing is the main plan, arrive before 9 PM.

Weekends are busier, so book earlier. You can also check special nights like Ladies Night, guest DJ nights or the Thursday beer drinking contest on the Events page of our website.

3. Clearly mention it's a birthday

When booking, note "birthday", the birthday person's name and when you'd like the candles. This helps The Wann team coordinate with you at the right moment. Specific options will be explained when you book.

4. Ask about the cake in advance

If you'd like to bring your own cake, ask our staff when booking for guidance. Bring it a little before candle time so we can get it ready.

5. Choose seating to match your party style

  • For a lively night with a clear view of the show, sit near the stage.
  • For easy conversation, choose an area further from the speakers.
  • For privacy with a larger group, ask about the VIP area or a private room.

6. Check the menu and plan your budget

The Wann's menu features Asian and European dishes, vegetarian options, light bites, beer combos, wine, spirits and cocktails. Browse it on our website to plan costs. For larger groups, a combo by headcount is the easiest way to manage the budget. Ask in advance about any deposit.

7. Share special requests ahead of time

Vegetarians, food allergies, children or elderly guests? Note it when booking so we can prepare properly.

8. Send venue details to your guests

Share the address, 74–76 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, Saigon Ward, the meeting time and the name the booking is under. Latecomers just need to give that name and our staff will show them to the table. Remind everyone to arrange a safe ride home if drinking.

Quick checklist before the big day

  • Table booked and confirmed by the venue.
  • Headcount, arrival time and candle time shared.
  • Cake, gifts and a photographer ready.
  • Address and time sent to all guests.
