Year-End Party Program Ideas at the Table – Lucky Draws, Awards and Games

Many companies believe a proper year-end program requires a hall, a stage and a professional MC. In reality, for a group of a few dozen, a compact program right at the table is often more fun, because everyone joins in and nobody is stuck watching from the back. Here are ideas you can use for your year-end party at The Wann.

Ground rules for a table program

Keep it short, about 45–60 minutes, and finish before 9 PM, when the DJ and dancers start their nightly show at The Wann. After that, the formal part ends and everyone is free to enjoy the music.

Pick a host with a loud, cheerful voice. They don't need to be a professional MC, just someone who knows the plan and keeps the energy going.

Idea 1 – Lucky draw

A must-have. Everyone gets a number on arrival, and the draw happens after dinner. To build suspense, run several rounds, with smaller prizes first and the grand prize last.

Tip: use a number-picker app on your phone to keep things quick, and have the prizes wrapped and ready to hand out at the table.

Idea 2 – "Face of the Year" awards

Beyond the usual employee of the year, add fun awards voted on in advance via the team chat:

  • The earliest arrival of the year.
  • The person who brings the most snacks to the office.
  • The most famous catchphrase.
  • The most helpful colleague.

These awards create laughter and help everyone feel recognised.

Idea 3 – The year in photos

Everyone sends a memorable photo from the year in advance. The host tells the story behind it and the table guesses whose photo it is. No complex equipment needed, just phones and a little preparation.

Idea 4 – Table challenges

If your company has several tables, run small challenges between them, such as guessing songs from the melody, company trivia or a quiz about the past year. The winning table gets a shared prize, like a dessert or a round of drinks.

If your team loves competition, choose a Thursday to join The Wann's beer drinking contest at 9 PM. The schedule of special nights is on the Events page of our website.

Idea 5 – A short thank-you from leadership

Keep the speech to 5–10 minutes. Thank everyone, highlight a few achievements and wish the team a happy new year. Short speeches are always remembered longer than long ones.
